| Born in Kenosah, Wisconsin in 1935. Largely self-taught.
"Bloom, self-taught, has had 15 one-man shows in museums and galleries in Wisconsin and elsewhere. He has progressed from initial great skill to more tasteful balance between technique and subject, and his perceptions concerning his subject have deepened into more significant content. In the artist, as in all of nature, growth is the sign of life."
