Born in Caracas, October 6, 1969, Willie Baracchi left his native Venezuela as a reaction to changes in the country social and political environment. His desire to explore his peculiar views of the world helped him to develop an uncompromised technique of raw emotional strokes and colors that emote the primeval senses.
As a self-educated artist, his instincts have taken first place to the restrictions of art itself and have led him to search ever deeper into the context rather than the message transmission vehicle most artists strive to develop to perfection.
Finding Provincetown, Massachusetts, has been a catalyst to his growth as a self-made expressionist figurative artist; finding the world outside of the restrictions of human institutions have allowed him to slap society in the face with a mirror image of our internalized fears.
His works have been displayed in the following expositions and collaborative shows:
