| | Born in California on Nov. 16, 1881. By 1912 Brace was a resident of San Francisco and a pupil at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute. He worked there as a freelance artist for many years. He later moved across the Golden Gate to San Rafael where he lived until his death on May 30, 1980. | Source:
