Known as a painter of North Dakota landscapes, portraits and still
lifes, Ida Zoe Beiler was born in Elida, Ohio, and came to North Dakota
in 1931 when she became Director of the Art Department at the State
Teachers College in Dickinson. For twenty-two years, she was an
important influence in the state and had a reputation as one of North
Dakota's finest artists.
She had not been a serious artist until
her graduation from Lima Lutheran College followed by study at Michigan
St (showing 500 of 1856 characters). |
