Alcide Davide Campestrini (1863-1940)
Alcide Davide Campestrini was born on November 9th, 1863 at Trento, Italy. He attended courses at the Brera Art Academy in Milan where he was a pupil of Giuseppe Bertini. He was later employed at that same Academy as a portrait instructor.
His work consisted of portraits, religious subjects, mural decoration and landscapes. He was awarded the Gavassi Prize in 1894, and also exhibited in the great Milan Exhibiti (showing 500 of 881 characters). |
