| | Born in Izmir, Turkey, Alfred Chadbourn became a US citizen and studied at the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles, from 1940-42. He also studied at the Ecole de Beaux Arts in Paris from 1947-1950. He has taught art at Queen's College in New York, at the Portland Art School in Maine, and from 1973 to 1981, at Westbrook College in Portland, Maine. He was a member of the National Academy of Design. |
