| Alfred Joseph Casella was born in San Francisco, CA on Feb. 28, 1886. Casella studied locally at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute. While painting in his leisure, he operated a lighting company from 1901. A lifelong resident of his native city, he died there on March 9, 1971. His work includes landscapes and a series of San Francisco street scenes.
