Alice was a decorator for Rookwood Pottery in Cincinnati for several years; she then became assistant to the Director of the Cincinnati Art Museum. She wrote "The Week in Art Circles" for the Cincinnati Enquirer for several years.
Alice was interim director of Norton Gallery and School of Art in West Palm Beach, Florida, in 1941-42, following the departure of its first director, Daisy Erb. She was also one of the founders of the Norton Gallery Players, a little-theater group there. Alice was a fine watercolorist, and continued to study at the Norton Gallery and the Palm Beach Art League under such visiting artists as Eliot O'Hara. Alice founded the teen center in West Palm Beach during WWII. She was also active in the leadership of the Girl Scout Council in the Palm Beaches.
Alice went to work as an interior designer for Worrell's Furniture in West Palm Beach, and later worked for Steinbrunner's and for herself. She became a member of Zonta International in 1956, classification Art Applied - interior decorator.
