| Landscape and portrait painter, Antoine Claveau was active in San Francisco, circa 1857-59. In San Francisco, Claveau first exhibited his panorama of Yosemite Valley in 1857.

| | Painter. Born in France in 1815. Claveau settled in San Francisco in 1854 and three years later exhibited a panorama of Yosemite (1000 feet in length). He was active in San Francisco until 1872 with a residence at 613 Stockton and a studio at 210 Montgomery. His rare works include landscapes and portraits. Exh: Calif.
