This biography from the Archives of AskART:
A book illustrator, muralist and writer who lived in Torrington Connecticut and Tarpon Springs, Florida, Lois Lenski was married to Arthur Covey and sometimes used his surname on her artwork.

Among the books she illustrated are Shoo-fly Girl, The Life I Live: Collected Poems,To Be a Logger, Deer Valley Girl, Christmas Stories, Blueberry Corners,The Little Farm, Strawberry Girl, and Blue Ridge Billy.

She studied at Ohio State University; Art Students League; Westminster School Art and Boyes School of Art in London London.  Among her teachers were Kenneth Hayes Miller;

She was a member of the Pen & Brush Club and Authors League  and exhibited at the Society of Independent Artists, 1923-25; Salons of America, 1924; Art Institute of Chicago, 1923-25, 1928, 1934. 

A mural executed her Lenski is at the Lord & Taylor department store in New York City.
