Beverly Carrick was born and raised in California. Introduced to art in her childhood, she found joy in creative oil painting. In 1963 she began painting professionally as a seascape artist in the Laguna Beach and Los Angeles areas. Carrick is mostly self-taught, but has sought the expertise of some major artists in her stages of artistic growth including Lukits, Kerr and Franks.
