| The following, submitted November 2004, is from the artist.
Brigitte Curt is a Plein-Air painter, painting on location both in California an in Provence. She is known for her bold brush strokes and harmonious sense of colors.
She studied primarily with Ovanes Berberian and also with Ted Goerschner.
Cut is co - founder with Jim Smyth of the California Academy of Painters, a non profit educational association of artists based in Palo Alto CA
She is also a teacher, focusing on techniques of oil and still-life subjects. She has held classes at the Palo Alto Art Center, the California Academy of Painters and in Provence in many summers.
