| The revelation of the human condition and "the problem of man's relationship to truth and the problem of man's soul psyche remaining individualistic and triumphant over the mechanized and computerized era" are permeating themes in the paintings of Carlisle Cooper.
His use of bold colors and expressionistic brushwork reveal the inner qualities of his figurative subjects.
Works by Cooper have been exhibited in cities throughout the United States including Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Ventura.
Born in North Carolina, Cooper received his masters of arts from the Art Institute of Chicago. As an instructor of fine art at Ventura College, Cooper has taught over 4,000 students.
