A painter and educator, Chester E. Colson's work is primarily privately held.  Some of his figurative work is informed by German Expressionism.

He served as Chairman of the Fine Arts Department at Wilkes College, Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania from 1959 on.

Studied:
Massachusetts School of Art, BS, 1946; Teachers College, Columbia University, Mass., 1949, with Edwin Ziegfeld; also private study.

One-man show, Little Gallery, Wilkes-Barre, 1968
Philadelphia Drawing & Print Show, Pa, 1968
