| Known for her wild flower paintings in watercolor, Christine Chaplin was born in Maine and was active in Boston from 1878 and Washington DC from 1916 to 1918. She studied in Paris and London and exhibited with the Boston Art Club and the Society of Washington Artists.
She also painted for Louis Prang chromolithographs.
