| Born in Dennison, TX on Aug. 14, 1907. After settling in San Francisco with his family in 1914, Connelly graduated from Mission High School in 1925. He then received a B.A. degree from the school of architecture at UC Berkeley and obtained an M.A. from that school in art design in 1934. As an employee of the Federal Art Project during the 1930s, he did designs and paintings in the old courthouse in Oakland, and a 20-foot oil mural at Oakland's Castlemont High School. He also designed the fou (showing 500 of 941 characters). |
