| Edmee Francine Artigues Cameron was born in California on Sept. 12, 1894 of French parents. Edmeé was a resident of San Francisco by 1908. She studied there at the Institute of Art for five years before her marriage to Roy Cameron in 1915. For many years she was a translator for the U.S. Treasury while painting in her leisure. She died in Saratoga, CA on March 26, 1981.
