| The following is submitted by Charles Sweigart, whose sources are Peter Falk, "Who Was Who in American Art" and "Davenport's Art Reference and Price Guide".
Eleanor R Copeland was born in London, 2/24/1875. She studied at the Philadelphia Museum School of Industrial Art under Henry Snell and her future husband Joseph Frank Copeland. She was a member of the Philadelphia Watercolor Club and Philadelphia Art Teachers Association.
She exhibited at the Philadelphia Acadamy of Fine Art and won a medal in 1938. Her work is held by the Philadelphia Watercolor Society, and the Telfair Academy in Savannah, Georgia.
