| Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Enos Comstock became a painter, writer, and illustrator. He was married to artist Frances Comstock.
Comstock was a student of John Vanderpoel and Frederick Freer at the Art Institute of Chicago and subsequently was an illustrator for Boy Scout publications and for school books and wrote and illustrated children's books including "Tuck-Me-In-Stories", "Fairy Frolics", "She and Allan", and "When Mother Lets Us Tell Stories".
