| Born in Sacramento, CA on April 1, 1897. After graduating from Sacramento Jr. College, Eva Fong married Bo Kay Chan in 1919, and settled in San Francisco where she studied at the CSFA. During the 1920s she painted with Yun Gee and other modernists. In 1929 she became the only woman member of the Chinese Revolutionary Art Club, a group dedicated to modernism in art. A talented artist, she was an accomplished musician as well as a painter. Her home on Grant Avenue was above the Mandarin Theat (showing 500 of 786 characters). |
