Using techniques of the Renaissance masters, Federico Castelluccio strives to capture the essence of his portrait subjects. He has painted numerous subjects including actor George Burns. In 1982, he won a four-year scholarship to the School of Visual Arts in New York City and there was particularly influenced in anatomy drawing by instructors Jack Endewelt, Steven Assaie and Steve Smulka.
