This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Francisco Cornejo (1892 - 1963) was born in La Paz, Mexico. In 1911 he moved from Mexico City to Los Angeles, where he resided until 1930. He lectured on ancient American art to San Francisco public school teachers, and exhibited his work in Mexico City, at Stanford University, and at the California School of Fine Arts in San Francisco. He curated a well publicized exhibition in 1926 of ancient American art and its modern applications in Los Angeles. In 1930 Conejo moved back to Mexico, where he continued to live until his death in 1963.
