Francois Cachoud studied with Delaunay and Gustave Moreau and began exhibiting his distinctive landscapes at the Paris Salon in 1892, continuing to show there regularly until 1940.
He was awarded the gold medal at the International Exhibition in Paris in 1937 and was made a knight of the Légion d’Honneur in 1910.
Specializing in moonlit landscapes, examples of his works are in many museum collections including those of Chambéry, Grenoble, Oran, Paris (Musée du Petit Palais) and P (showing 500 of 925 characters). |
