| Grattan S. Condon was born in Eugene, OR on June 10, 1887. Condon was a resident of Oakland, CA in 1900. He studied art in Los Angeles at the Art Students League and School of Art & Design. By the late 1920s he had a studio in New York City. He is best remembered for his illustrations of WWI. His work appeared in Saturday Evening Post and Ladie’s Home Journal. He died in Dayton, OH on in August 1966.
