Pupil of George Luks; John Sloan; Theodore Robinson; Mahonri Young; Voitech Preissig and Joseph Pennell. | Herbert Chesley Chivers was born in Windsor, England in 1869. Chivers was a pupil of Luks, Sloan, Robinson, Lever, Young, Preissig, and Pennell. He was a resident of San Francisco in 1916-18 and of NYC in 1929.
