| | Harry D. Cartwright was born in Croydon, England on Feb. 13, 1865. Cartwright moved to California in 1889 and settled in San Francisco. In 1905 he was a portrait painter; he later was a salesman. He died of cirrhosis of the liver at the Masonic Home in Decoto, CA on Nov. 22, 1939. | Source:
