Born in NYC on March 29, 1880, the daughter of artist Henry Loop. Helen studied with her father, W. J. Whittemore and I. Wiles. After moving to southern California in 1925 with her husband, Stephen Chalmers, she settled in Laguna Beach. She died in Santa Ana, CA on May 6, 1959. Member: Laguna Beach AA.
