This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| The following information is from Tim Miller of Norman, Oklahoma, who got part of this information from a dealer where he purchased one of her paintings and other parts from books where she is mentioned.
"I know she was born in Switzerland and studied there as well as in Dresden, Munich and Paris where she was a student and disciple of the French artist Jean-Francois Raffaelli. She then was the head of the art department of the American College in Constantinople for 7 years. Following that, she moved to Minnesota in 1895 where she was either the head of the art department there or taught there at the University of Minnesota.
Between 1910 and 1913, she settled in Tulsa Oklahoma where she gave lessons and painted landscapes which closely followed the French impressionist movement."
