This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in England on April 9, 1862. Cannon was educated in London and worked there as a designer for gold and silversmiths. He worked in NYC for several years before settling in Los Angeles about 1906. In 1912 he established the Cannon Art School in Los Angeles and taught there until 1933. He died in Redondo Beach, CA on Feb. 5, 1939. Member: Commercial Artists Ass'n of So. Calif.; Free Lance Art League of LA (co-founder and vice pres., 1918). In: Orange Co. (CA) Museum.

Born in England, Henry Cannon lived in New York for several years and from 1906 in California where he settled in Los Angeles and established an art school where he taught until 1933. He belonged to the Commercial Artist's Association of Southern California and was co-founder and president of the Free lance Art League of Los Angeles. He died in Redondo Beach in 1939.

He took his training in London where he learned gold and silversmithing.
