| | Born in California on Nov. 29, 1880. Cornett studied art at the Mark Hopkins Institute in San Francisco at the turn of the century. Known as "Ink" to his friends, he later settled in Salinas, CA and was often a painting partner of Albert DeRome. He was a purchasing agent for the County of Monterey until his demise in Salinas on July 9, 1964. | Source:
