| James Pirtle Creal, Jr. was born in Franklin, KY on Sept. 5, 1903. Creal was a pupil of Walter Ufer and J. E. Thompson. While based in Kentucky he spent summers in Los Angeles during the 1920s. He died in Denver, CO on Sept. 27, 1933.
