| | Born in Boston, MA on Sept. 14, 1918. Clark moved to San Diego with his family in 1924. When quite young he studied clay modeling with Anna Valentien and oil painting with John L. Stoner. Upon graduation from San Diego State College in 1940, he taught junior high school for two years, made drawings of airplane parts for Rohr Aircraft and served in the Navy during WWII. After the war he obtained a master's degree in art at Columbia University. Returning to San Diego, he taught at Kearny High School for 13 years and for 30 years at Mesa Junior College. Clark now lives in San Diego.
