| | Born in San Francisco, CA on March 8, 1898. Cerf studied at the CSFA, Schaeffer School of Design, and under Otis Oldfield. She was a member of the board of the San Francisco Women Artists for many years and was active in the local art scene until the mid-1960s. A still life specialist, her media included oil and watercolor. She often signed her works with the monogram JRC. She lived in San Francisco until shortly before her death in San Mateo, CA on Feb. 18, 1993.
