This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Encouraged by his mother with his abilities with clay, Joe Cajero Jr. created whimsical human and animal figures depicting his culture of Jemez Pueblo, north of Albuquerque in the Jemez Mountains.
He studied at the Institute of American Indian Art in Santa Fe and from that time has worked in clay and has won numerous first and second place awards at the Santa Fe Indian Market for his kosharis and multiple figures. |
