| John Carradine was born in NYC on Feb. 5, 1906. Carradine grew up in Poughkeepsie, NY and studied sculpture at the Graphic Art School. After arriving in Los Angeles in 1927, he worked briefly as a scenic designer for Cecil B. DeMille before taking character roles in the movies. He died in Milan, Italy on Nov. 27, 1988.
