| | Born in NYC on Oct. 13, 1880. Coakley studied at Columbia University. After moving to southern California in 1925, he settled in Alhambra and worked as a scenic artist for the movie industry. While at MGM he fell from a scaffolding and was killed on March 26, 1936. | Source:
