| | Born in Italy in 1870. By 1913 Collette was painting scenery in Los Angeles at Morosco Theater and worked as such until the onset of the Depression. He was a retired merchant in 1946 when he murdered his neighbor. He died in prison in San Bernardino on Sept. 12, 1949. | Source:
