The following information was submitted in August of 2006 by Helen Glenn Court: John Court was born in 1948 in Annapolis Maryland, and graduated from Cornell University in 1970, receiving his Master of Fine Arts Degree from this institution in 1972.
Describing himself as a classical romanticist, he cites as major influences on his style the artists Thomas Eakins, John Singer Sargeant, and Titian.
