Born in Arizona, she moved to Iowa and has lived in Costa Rica since 2004. She creates plein-air sketches to create paintings she refers to as photo-expression. Many of her works are moody depictions of urban night scenes set against a black backdrop, which gives them a haunting effect.
She organizes and instructs all inclusive workshops and retreats in Costa Rica for beginning through professional level artists.
