This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Born in Arizona, she moved to Iowa and has lived in Costa Rica since 2004. She creates plein-air sketches to create paintings she refers to as photo-expression. Many of her works are moody depictions of urban night scenes set against a black backdrop, which gives them a haunting effect.
She organizes and instructs all inclusive workshops and retreats in Costa Rica for beginning through professional level artists.
She won "Judges Favorite" in The Charitable Arts Tucson plein aire competition in March 1999 and was the contributing artist for Meredith Corporation's special publication: Painting Plein Aire, 2003, a how to, step by step, of plein aire painting. Edited by Cynthia Pearson.
