| A resident of Hartselle, Alabama, Larry Chandler is known for his dog paintings and wildlife art.
Born June 25, 1951 in Morgan County, he became an artist for Duck's Unlimited and painted state ducks for Alabama, Arkansas and Kentucky. In October 1998, he won The Best of Show award and first place prize
for his painting Not a Creature was Stirring at the Southern wildlife
Festival in Decatur, Alabama.
He later designed a logo for the Hartford Insurance Co. and a commemorative stamp for the Ivory Billed Woodpecker.
Larry Chandler died on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Decatur General Hospital.
