Biography from AskART:
Raised on a farm in Greenville, Ohio, and encouraged in his art talent by his father, Lee became a noted wildlife painter, residing in Divide, Colorado.

He was raised with a love of the great outdoors and with many experiences of fishing and hunting with his dad and watching wildlife. His formal art training started at age nine when he began a nine-year tutelage, "Famous Artists Commercial Correspondence Course," under Martin Wogoman of Greenville, Ohio. He then held several jobs in commercial art including Art Director for Neff Athletic Lettering Company in Greenville; Editorial Artist for "Tampa Times" newspaper in Tampa, Florida; and Art Director for LEAP Advertising Agency, in Lakeland, Florida.

He has conducted workshops throughout the United States including the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and has work in numerous collections, the largest being forty-two originals in BancFlorida. His work is reproduced by Applejack Limited Editions of Manchester, Vermont, and his awards include recognition from National Ducks Unlimited, the Society of Animal Artists, and the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum at Wausau, Wisconsin.
