| Lloyd Coe was born in Edgartown, Massachusetts. Studied at the National Academy of Design, Metropolitan Art School and with George Pearse Ennis. Designed 1938 and 1946 Christmas Seals.
Over name of “Lloyd” drew cartoons for Saturday Review of Literature and other publications. Illustrated various books. Wrote and illustrated juvenile books “Charcoal” and “Boku and the Sound”. Represented in Library Cartoon Collection of New York Public Library and Metropolitan Art Museum Book-Plate Collection. Teaches at Vesper George School of art. Past president 1955-1959 Rockport Art Association.
