| Born in Colorado, Margaret Cash was a painter in gouache and oil of floral still lifes and Southern California landscapes.
She moved to Berkeley to study at the California College of Arts and Crafts. Following a brief marriage to an attorney and a move to Venice, California, she married Lee Cash. Until 1939, they made their home in Alhambra, and then they moved to the Sierra Madre and she began the most active period of her painting.
She was prominent in the local art colony, and her paintings sold in the Los Angeles area and some to a Chicago firm for reproduction.
