| Margaret Mitchell Carlson was born in Deming, WA on March 25, 1892. Carlson was a resident of Seattle during her early career and, while there, studied with Ella Bush and Gertrude Little with whom she shared a studio. She later studied at the PAFA, NAD and ASL in NYC. She was a resident of Mill Valley, CA in 1921-26. She died in Mariposa, CA on Dec. 13, 1980.
