Please note: Artists not classified as American in our database may have limited biographical data
compared to the extensive information about American artists.
Marianne Clouzot was born in 1908 at Vésinet. Her father Henri Clouzot was a celebrated art critic, and encouraged her from an early age; Marianne sold her first drawings at the Galerie Devambez in Paris at the age of ten! She studied at the Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris from 1923, and subsequently studied painting under André Lhote.
Marianne Clouzot's first solo show at Galerie Charpentier in 1935 was a critical success. Like Raoul Dufy and Sonia Delaunay, Marianne Clouzot (showing 500 of 1550 characters). |
