| Illustrator, watercolorist, sculptor. Born in Mexico City on Nov. 26, 1905. Cooper was raised in Los Angeles where he began his art studies at the Chouinard and Otis Art Institutes. He continued in New York at Columbia University and Grand Central School of Art where he later taught. Following his art training, he pursued a career in NYC as an illustrator for Collier's magazine. He authored Flower Painting in Water Color (1962) and other books on watercolor painting techniques. Cooper died in NYC in July 1995.
