Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Marion Chase studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.

Biography from Crocker Art Museum Store:
Painter. Born in Boston, MA on Oct. 14, 1875.

Chase studied at the Boston Museum School and continued in Paris with Andre L'Hote.

By 1947 she had relocated to Carmel, CA. She died there on April 29, 1957.
