Miss Mary BW. Coxe passed away October the 16th 1922. She was a teacher of freehand drawing at the Rhode Island School Of Design for several years. She was a student of George De Forest Brush,Kenyon Cox, and William Merrit Chase. She studied in Europe for several years. She also worked for years as a teacher at the Albright Art School in Buffalo, New York. Among her noted students were John Carlson and Eugene Speicher.
