| | Born in San Francisco, CA on June 5, 1910. A graduate of UC Berkeley, Mary Ryan was a docent at the CPLH and assistant to the director of the De Young Museum for many years. In 1937 she wed attorney Harry Cobden and lived in Berkeley until 1960 when she settled in Carmichael, CA. Her last months were spent at her son’s home in Fairbanks, AK. She died there on Feb. 23, 1998.
