Biography from AskART:
| A wildlife and landscape painter, especially of pristine watercolors, he was raised on a cattle ranch in the Crazy Mountain Range of Montana. He started sketching his surroundings as a youngster, and at age seven, a visit by him to the Buffalo Bill Historical Society in Cody, Wyoming sealed his determination to become an artist. He first decided to become a western painter like Frederic Remington and Charles Russell, but he later changed to wildlife and landscape.
He maintains a studio in a building in Billings, Montana, and he has a sweeping view of the northern edge of Yellowstone Valley. He is basically a self-taught artist, who began sketching while working on the ranch to pass the time.
